Before everything, I am a mom. A busy-body, frantically trying to organize, crazy (hopefully fun), always on the cusp of but never quite feel like I'm "getting it" mom. A desperately trying to excel at momming mom. A mom that knows that no matter how hard I try, there will always be that other mom that looks like she has it all together.
But before I was a mom - I was newborn and family photographer and a closet foodie at heart. I cooked up a storm in my kitchen every opportunity I got and spent time with new moms and fresh little gorgeous babies, documenting their new lives.
After I became a mom myself, my passion shifted. I turned into a mom who is extremely passionate about what my baby eats. I wanted my baby to be exposed to an exciting and complex basket of ingredients, but also be able to eat your every day staples. I wanted my child to be trying new foods and not be guided or encouraged to eat based on whether the food is orange or green.
And so, after endless research, trial and error, testing, testing and more testing on my baby and anyone else's baby that would give my food a try.
My baby boy loved the food, everyone else's babies loved the food. And I loved making it. It became my calling.
And Nyummies was born.
All you need to know is that I do my very best to ensure the quality and taste of every recipe meets "mom standards" and I have personally developed, tried and tested every recipe from scratch, bringing you healthy, tasty, easy meal ideas FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
